Domain transfer checklist

Unlock status, collect auth codes, notify stakeholders, and verify DNS before and after push.

• Confirm the name is unlocked and not within 60 days of a prior transfer when policy applies.
• Collect EPP/auth codes and disable registry locks.
• Snapshot DNS records; keep TTL low.
• Notify billing and security contacts.
• After completion, re-check NS, MX, and HTTPS certificates.
